The OpEx Prize Competition launches for young Ghanaian techpreneurs

The Opportunity Exposure (OpEx) Prize Competition launches in Accra for young Ghanaian techpreneurs.

The competition is the outcome of a collaboration between the Council for Science and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (INSTI) / Technology Growth and Transfer Centre (TDTC), as announced by The Executive Council.

“Through the provision of creative and innovative tech solutions that are scalable and sustainable, the OpEx Prize Competition aspires to empower Ghanaian youth for national growth and wealth creation,” said Kenneth Thompson, CEO of Dalex Finance.

The OpEx Prize Competition spans the fields of finance, agriculture, health, and education.

With the aim of providing young Ghanaians aged 18 to 35 with the ability to use technology to create wealth.

The global information technology industry is projected to hit US$5.2 trillion in 2020 and beyond, according to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), as economies, employment, and personal lives become more digital and linked.

The OpEx Prize Competition aims to build industry-changing technologies that will contribute to a healthier, safer, and more sustainable environment, as well as a vision to continually ignite scalable and sustainable tech solutions.

Application deadline is 3rd April 2021.
