The Bolloré Group boosts its involvement in education

0

(BOLLORE ) – As part of the International Education Day, the Bolloré Group looks back at the educational projects it supported in 2020 as part of its Earthtalent by Bolloré solidarity programme. Working closely with its local teams, the Group has provided financial assistance to nearly 70 educational projects in 18 countries, including:

  • Each year, the Anandan project in India helps 500 children in very precarious situations to benefit from access to a quality education programme.
  • In Conakry, Guinea, ten students received an academic scholarship to study at the Guinean National Arts and Crafts School (ENAM).
  • In France, in partnership with the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, several students received scholarships and also benefited from moral, financial and professional support from Bolloré Group employees.

Education has been at the heart of the Bolloré Group’s commitment to solidarity for several decades. Through its Earthtalent solidarity programme, the Bolloré Group relies on its regional integration to support projects of local charities mainly in the fields of education, professional training and entrepreneurship.

Earthtalent by Bolloré was created in 2010 with the aim of providing concrete help to local populations in various fields, in particular education, which is the main focus of our programme. By coordinating our efforts with local teams, we will continue to fulfil our mission to assist young people over the long term and give them the means to succeed on their own”. states Dorothée Van der Cruyssen, Head of the International Solidarity Commitment and Corporate Philanthropy Department of the Bolloré Group.

In 2021, the creation of the B’Excellence scholarship programme consolidated the actions that had already been initiated and gave students with an excellent academic record the opportunity to continue their studies. This programme is also in line with the Group’s desire to contribute locally to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 4: quality education.
