Seychelles: Ambassador of Slovakia pays a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs

Newly appointed Ambassador of Slovakia to Seychelles, H.E Mrs. Katarína Žuffa Leligdonovà paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde. Ambassador Leligdonovà was accompanied by the Honorary Consul for Slovakia, Mr. Guillaume Albert.

The meeting, which took place at the Ministry’s headquarters, Maison Quéau de Quinssy addressed matters of mutual interest, and highlighted various interests shared between Seychelles and Slovakia such as the protection of the environment, climate change, renewable energy, education and capacity building. The possibility of having a joint general cooperation agreement and receiving scholarships from Slovakia was also discussed. It is to be noted that there are 26 Seychellois students studying in Slovakia on government of Seychelles scholarships.

During the meeting, the two diplomats also addressed current international issues.

Also present at the meeting was Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne Fock Tave, Director General for Bilateral Affairs, Ms. Lindy Ernesta and Second Secretary, Mr. Ryan Adeline.
