Qatar Condemns Assassination Attempt on Somali Government Spokesperson

The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the assassination attempt on the spokesperson of the Federal Government of Somalia who was injured in an attack on his vehicle in the capital, Mogadishu.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism and political assassinations, regardless of the motives and reasons and stressed the need to pursue those involved in the attempt and bring them to justice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to the Somali Government spokesperson for a speedy recovery.
