Oslo-based Gire Mobility bags €1.7M

Oslo-based Gire Mobility, a B2B marketplace for flexible on-demand car transportation, announced that it has secured NOK 20M (approximately €1.7M) in a new funding round led by Schibsted Ventures with Møller Mobility Group and Semler Mobility.

Out of the total, Schibsted Ventures invested NOK 10M, whereas Møller and Semler contributed NOK 5M each.

The Norwegian startup says it will use the funds for development and geographical expansion.

Led by Stian B. Berentsen, Gire Mobility has built a marketplace that quickly matches assignments from the automotive industry with competent drivers.

Among Gire’s customers are car dealers, leasing companies, car-sharing services, and car rental companies.

Currently, Gire has 250 drivers and offers its services in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
