JOB BRIEF
The overall responsibilities of the Contractor, are to assist USIP’s Strengthening Borders Community (SBC) project with project reporting, monitoring and evaluation, contribute to program design activities including the development of concept notes and proposals, develop necessary systems to constantly track project implementation, ensure quality control of results, and to support efforts to promote the Institute’s activities externally.
This is a full-time, term contract position through August 22, 2024, based in Tripoli, Libya. The contract can be renewed pending performance, funding, and business needs. This is a Personal Services Contractor position for a host-country national in Libya.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supports the SBC project team in organizing and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems for project documents and correspondence, and ensures that files are complete, accurate, and up to date.
* Supports the SBC project team with monitoring, evaluation, and learning tasks, including data entry, and contributing to internal, quarterly, and external reports.
* Updates and maintains project calendars.
* Consolidates and provide inputs for IAA Partner and other reports.
* Stays abreast with operational developments and assist in the preparation of briefing notes, reports, and funding proposals.
* Assists in the gathering, and consolidation of data and facilitate the preparation of periodic reports including Fact Sheets and other activity-specific reports.
* Supports the communications team in the development of communication materials and the organization of key events.
* Regularly update the relevant information tracking system(s).
* Provides administrative assistance and support in routine services and activities.
* Liaises with internal and external partners to gather information.
* Consolidates and provides inputs for donor reports.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* One (1) or more years of related professional work experience. Preferably in knowledge management or communications or content management or reporting.
* Knowledge of databases and/or content management systems.
* Must be proficient in both Arabic and English.
* Excellent English oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills, accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
* Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including government, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels.
* Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
* Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
* Sound security awareness.
