Google has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Google for Startups Accelerator Africa program, inviting early-stage African startups leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to apply.
This initiative aims to support startups across the continent that are using AI to address local challenges and drive innovation.
The accelerator offers selected startups a 10-week virtual program that includes mentorship from Google experts, access to Google’s AI tools and technologies, and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development. Startups will also benefit from networking opportunities with other tech entrepreneurs and investors.
Eligible startups should be based in Africa, have a working product or service, and demonstrate potential for scalability.The program is particularly interested in startups that are applying AI in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, and financial services.
Applications are open until May 9, 2025, and interested startups can apply through the official website.
Since its inception, the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa has supported numerous startups across the continent, providing them with the resources and mentorship needed to grow and succeed in their respective markets.
