Contract Awards – Mega Solar Regional Market Study (RMS) under the Africa Energy Transition Catalyst (AETC) Programme

Within the broad framework of the Mega Solar Initiative, regional integration in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and participating countries’ national priorities, the Bank has made available grant funding for the development of a comprehensive Regional Market Study (RMS), to assess the viability of regional power off-take markets that could facilitate the development of renewable energy generation in Botswana and Namibia, incorporating an assessment of associated grid and energy storage systems/infrastructure.
