In a quest to increase user subscription to their music streaming service, a quiet announcement made rounds this week offering new users to access a free five-month subscription to Apple Music and the offer is only available through the Shazam music identification app.

The promotion is set to be available till January 17, 2021, to only new Apple Music subscribers in Australia, Canada, Mexico, the U.S., and other countries.

Shazam was bought over by Apple in 2018 and the application functions recognize music by listening to it through the phone’s microphone to help users identify a particular track.
