The Managing Director for Project Development at Africa50, Koffi Klousseh advocated for the adoption of asset recycling as a tool for governments to liberate capital for more investment in the transmission space. He made these submissions during a dialogue on Transforming and Digitizing Transmission and Distribution in Africa, at the Africa Energy Festival. He added that public private partnerships are also crucial to bridge the power transmission gap. Moderating a separate panel on Gas for Growth, Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Investments Raza Hasnani remarked that Africa50 works alongside African governments on their infrastructure development plans. He said, Africa50 looks at what works in a specific country and focuses on educating the investment community on the importance of gas.
