Africa stands at a critical juncture in its sustainable economic development journey. With a burgeoning young population, vast natural resources, and growing technological capabilities, the continent presents immense untapped opportunities for investment, sustainable growth, and prosperity.

Potential barriers such as political instability, information gaps, regulatory challenges, and perceived risks have hindered substantial investments in the continent.

The Africa Investment Summit aims to tackle the challenges mentioned above by convening important stakeholders, investors, and decision-makers from national governments, academia, business, and civil society worldwide.

The objective is to explore investment prospects in different sectors of the African economy to benefit investors and African nations.

The Africa Investment Summit is a Think Tank working with developing and least-developed countries as listed by the United Nations to fast-track and accelerate their socio-economic development in the African Member States.

This summit will promote sustainable economic development and prosperity in Africa by convening key stakeholders like the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), the African Union, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and African member countries, ensuring accountability and progress toward shared goals, and opening new doors.

Through the Africa Investment Summit we will work with member states and their development partners on public-private partnerships and private-sector-led economies in Member States through the implementation of the AfCFTA.

Entrepreneur-led initiatives by women and youth as engines of the AfCFTA in the ecosystem to identify projects that can attract financing and infrastructure investment for sustainable development in the Member States through the industrialisation of the following sectors:

Water & Sanitation

South Africa is uniquely suited to host the 2024 Africa Investment Summit under the theme “Igniting Sustainable Economic Growth, Development, and Resilience Through Africa Investments” because of its advantageous location, investment opportunities, political stability, business-friendly environment, economic development initiatives, and regional integration efforts.
