(Ecofin Agency) – For a long time, many ICT micro-enterprises have been unable to access the calls for tenders launched by Algérie Télécom. This is due to the various discriminatory clauses contained in the old specifications. The new one, elaborated by the historic telecom operator, inaugurates a new era for young tech-entrepreneurs looking for business and able to establish their credibility in the national ICT and telecom sector.
The new specifications were presented on Thursday, December 3 in Algiers, during a meeting with the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Brahim Boumzar, and the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Microenterprises, Nassim Diafat. It aims to simplify procedures for ICT micro-enterprises to access public procurement. It “highlights their specificities by simplifying files and procedures, and gives greater clarity and readability concerning the needs of the public sector,” explained Brahim Boumzar.
The minister said that more than 2,300 ICT microenterprises have already registered on the new electronic portal Safqatic, launched last August by his department to establish transparency and rules of probity for access to public procurement and market monitoring.
